Russian opera productions live-streamed from Moscow and St.Petersburg

Russian opera theatres are currently in lockdown, so many of them are live-streaming and sharing their recent productions on YouTube. Here are just three of them for you to watch this weekend :)

1. Helicon Opera Company (Moscow) has shared their recent production of Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin":

2. Novaya Opera (Moscow) presents one of the most famous fairytale opera by Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "The Snowmaiden": 

3. Mariinsky Theatre (St.Petersburg) is sharing the opera by Rodion Shchedrin (born in 1932) "The Enchanted Wanderer". This is a modern opera composed in 2002 for three soloists (Bass, Tenor and Mezzo-Soprano), choir and orchestra based on a classical story written in 1872—1873 by Nikolay Leskov.
